Odie,

I am sure riley will give you the details when you see her.

We had one of the dogs in training at our house today and a very freak accident happened.
I heard Riley screaming out side, I look outside where she was giving Rock'O and Artie a bath in our outdoor wadding pool (like the one we used at the parade).  Artie had caught his leg on the underside of the plastic pool.  The plastic had caught his leg, cut an artery and cut to the bone (seriously, didn't know this could happen).  Riley had grabbed her pack, put gauze as a muzzle on his mouth, took another gauze pack and put it on the wound and taped vet wrap around it to hold it and stop the squirting when his heart beat.  She then tells me, I checked his pulse and he seems to be OK, we need to get him to a vet.  We had him to the vet inside of 20 minutes, when the vet took the wrap off it started squirting again--the vet was impressed with the wrap to which Riley said "I learned it in CPR class."

He is now recouping in his crate--we think his leg will only have minor nerve damage.  Time will tell.  We are estimating he lost a pint of blood that most certainly would have been more--

So Thank YOU.
