Pediatric First Aid/CPR:
  Course Description:  This class is a certified class through the American Heart Association.  Certification is valid for 2 years.  Meets EMSA & OSHA requirements 
With child care providers in mind, the American Heart Association designed this pediatric course to meet the regulatory and credentialed training requirements for child care workers in all 50 states.The course provides training for those who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies, such as child care workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth groups, coaches for sports organizations and others.This course contains information on how to manage illnesses and injuries in a child during the first few minutes until professional help arrives.The core course content covers: first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies and environmental emergencies.The modular design and optional pediatric first aid topics allow child care facilities to tailor the program to their needs or meet regulatory agency requirements in some states.

  Intended Audience:For those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac
emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.Teachers, Daycare workers, Nannies, Adopting Parents, Coaches, Friends and Family, Etc.

  Course Length:   The course length can range from 2 hours to 5 hours, depending on needs and the modules taught.
